Robert Horne helps customers extend their business horizons

7th August 2008

The Robert Horne Group is conducting a series of vehicle wrapping training days around the UK, providing customers with practical details and knowledge on how to wrap vehicles and apply vinyl. This highly specialised skill can be complicated and problematic if not performed by adequately trained and skilled applicators.  Robert Horne aims to bring simplification to this technique by supplying their customers with the know-how and confidence to apply and use vinyl's correctly providing benefits of improved speed and reduced errors.

The 1 day course consists of showing customers different application techniques and also covers hints and tips on vehicle wrapping including practical hands experience using test panel sides to apply the vinyl and then an actual car.

Avery 900SCTM and MPI 1005RSTM vinyl's are used in the demonstrations highlighting the ease of application of the AveryTM range and the new and improved product benefits of these vinyl's. Avery  900 Super CastTM New Generation has been upgraded. Its improved conformability makes the product very suitable for applications on heavy corrugated surfaces, both convex and concave. Avery Multi-Purpose Inkjet vinyl 1005 Easy Apply RSTM is a premium quality gloss opaque cast film designed for use in fleet marking and corporate identification applications providing enhanced ease-of-use during application. Avery Dennison's Easy Apply RSTM technology offers the benefit of reduced wrinkling and air entrapment inherent in the application of decals and graphics.

Lee Newberry, Graphics Manager of Boundary Sign Shop based in St Helens explained why he found the course essential;

"Boundary Sign Shop is implementing a series of new business initiatives including the introduction of vehicle signage and wrapping.  I found the course very practical with lots of 1-1 opportunities to actually apply vinyl to the car and the test panels; learning through hands on application.  This training has ensured that Boundary can develop and progress into the vehicle wrapping market with all the confidence and ability to be able to service both new and existing customers to their complete satisfaction."

The course is available to anyone interested in learning more about vehicle wrapping and vinyl application; details of future courses and costs can be obtained by contacting Robert Horne Digital Solutions Team on 0161 8867557
