Reviving Butterfly Conservation with revive

When Butterfly Conservation commissioned the printing of their members' information literature, the brief to their agency Nectar Creative based in Leigh, Lancashire was to create a visually attractive brand that would appeal to their existing and possible new members and source a recycled grade paper with exemplary environmental credentials, but there should be no compromise on quality. Nectar Creative, immediately recommended ‘revive pure white' silk coated paper, a 100% recycled fibre grade with exceptional printing performance.

Butterfly Conservation, a UK charity dedicated to the protection of butterflies and moths, is more than acutely aware of the ecological issues affecting today's environment. So it followed that their printed communications totalling over 500K items in total and ranging from newsletters, brochure and ID guides should use a quality paper with very strong environmental credentials and printed with consideration to all aspects or production.

revive pure white silk paper, available from Robert Horne, was an instant success. The paper used had to be a recycled coated with FSC accreditation, and it had to give excellent quality of print.

Chris Kniveton, Creative Director of Nectar Creative explained, "We were particularly looking for a coated recycled grade with excellent printing and smoothness on both sides, good whiteness, quality of print and fast drying time. Given the fact that the literature produced for the Butterfly Conservation needs to have good printing results to ensure that the butterflies images look as realistic and vibrant as possible, it was crucial that the chosen stock would dry successfully without dry back or loss of colour intensity - ensuring that the job we passed on press remained consistent once fully dry. We use various revive recycled content products for our clients ranging from 50% to 100% products, depending on the project requirements and are continually delighted with the ecological and aesthetic result that revive is able to provide. Full consideration is given to the production with the use of vegetable based inks, low wastage design and fully recyclability after use"

Butterfly Conservation has been using various revive papers for over 5 years and has seen their membership rise from 11,000 to over 14,000 members.  Their literature is printed by Galloway's Printers Ltd, an established printer based in Poynton Cheshire who is renowned for recognizing the importance of environmental considerations in the production of print.

revive pure white silk is exclusive to Robert Horne in the UK, and comes in a wide range of weights (90 - 350gsm) and sheet sizes. It is just one of the recycled revive family, which also includes a wide choice of recycled contents and finishes including uncoated, matt, gloss and 1-sided boards.

Philippa Charlton, Group Marketing Director at Robert Horne, comments: "revive is the UK's leading recycled brand which has shaped the environmental papers market by offering high quality, outstanding performance and unbeatable environmental credentials for many years. Robert Horne can help and advise on the right recycled options in terms of recycled content, weights or finishes ensuring that customers can truly answer their corporate, social and environmental responsibility without compromising on budgets or quality; whatever the recycled paper demands our customers make in the future, there will be a revive product to match."
