revive and the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)

The RSPB consistently prints its collateral onto the UK's leading recycled paper brand, ‘revive', available from the Robert Horne Group. Why?... because conservation is paramount to the ethos of the RSPB and its paper choice needs to reflect that; it has to be a recycled grade paper with exemplary environmental credentials, but with no compromise on quality. revive is able to tick all the boxes providing a cost effective, high quality alternative to virgin fibre grades.
The RSPB, a charity dedicated to the protection of birds and the environment, is acutely aware of the challenges facing today's environment. Its work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a responsibility to protect birds and the environment. So it follows that its numerous printed communications are no exception, and are produced primarily on ‘revive'.
More recently, the RSPB has specified the recent addition to the revive portfolio ‘revive 25' - a white silk coated paper which combines the exceptional printing performance associated with a virgin sheet with a part recycled content.
Tim Norman, Head of Logistics at the RSPB explained, "The RSPB produce a wide range of information leaflets, reports and campaigning literature. They often contain heavy ink coverage, alongside bright and colourful images of wildlife. We were looking particularly for a coated recycled grade with excellent printing and smoothness, good whiteness, quality of print and fast drying, so that the wildlife looks as sharp and vibrant as possible. New ‘revive 25' gives excellent printing results and lift without dry back or loss of colour intensity - so the job we pass on press remains consistent once fully dry. revive 25 is also 25% recycled and FSC certified, helping us meet our environmental responsibilities and keeping waste paper out of landfill. It is also very popular with our many printers who appreciate its consistent sound quality. Importantly, it is crucial that as a charity, it's a paper that fits our budget needs."
The RSPB literature is printed by several leading UK printers including Portland Print of Kettering, Spectrum Colour of Leicester, Eclipse Colour in Kettering and Dialogue Solutions based in Kent.
revive 25 white silk is exclusive to Robert Horne in the UK, and comes in a wide range of weights (100 - 350gsm) and sheet sizes. It is just one of the recycled revive family, which also includes a wide choice of recycled contents and finishes including uncoated, matt, gloss and 1-sided boards.
Philippa Charlton, Group Marketing Director at Robert Horne, comments: "We are delighted that the RSPB remain committed to the revive brand. This relationship highlights how Robert Horne can help and advise on the right recycled options in terms of recycled content, weights or finishes. We are continually developing our revive range ensuring that customers can truly answer their corporate, social and environmental responsibility without compromising on budgets or quality."
