The recent announcement of Toby Marchant to CEO PaperlinX Europe has resulted in several new appointments across PaperlinX (PaperlinX operating companies in the UK include Robert Horne Group, The Paper Company and Howard Smith Paper Group).

Dave Allen has been appointed as Regional President - PaperlinX UK, Ireland and South Africa, effective 1 July 2008.  Dave Allen has been Managing Director of Robert Horne Group since November 2005.  Prior to that he held a number of Managing Director roles across the European portfolio of Saint-Gobain.

Alistair Gough has been appointed as Managing Director - Robert Horne Group, effective 1 July 2008.  Alistair returns to Robert Horne after four successful years as Managing Director of The Paper Company.  With his past PaperlinX experience, Alistair reflects well the value propositions and personalities of Robert Horne to ensure continuity of business growth and excellence in customer service.

Steve King has been appointed as Managing Director - The Paper Company, effective 1 July 2008.  Steve returns to The Paper Company having spent the last 3 years working for PaperlinX UK, Ireland and South Africa, latterly as CFO.  Steve joined The Paper Company originally in 1990 and is therefore well known to the business operation and customer base.

All three appointments are now under way.  Current trading conditions and economic climate will ensure that the roles are challenging, but the importance of managing the business whilst ensuring customer value, will be the top priority.
