Robert Horne have produced a series of postcards featuring the work of photographer Jason Tozer, produced on some of Robert Horne’s most creative and innovative materials. There are eight images in the series, across four sets of postcards - you will see these images build here over the next few months.
Jason Tozer is a London based photographer with a passion for taking pictures of things exploding, breaking, burning, in microscopic close-up, underwater or in x-ray.
Robert Horne felt that Jason’s experimental approach to his photography would be an ideal way in which to showcase our range of materials. Jason shot the materials in a way that posed the question ‘what do you see?’ so the viewer is left to his or her own interpretation of the shot.
Jason decided to change the surface, texture and dimensions of the materials with which he was provided. Sheets of Robert Horne paper were punched with a fist to create a random and unique crumpled and scrunched effect. This was then shot to a tight crop using a macro lens to capture all the detail.
